Kevin Weedmark was elected MLA for Moosomin-Montmartre in 2024. He serves as the deputy government Whip and Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Health.
Prior to being elected to the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly, he was an award-winning journalist and built a successful printing and publishing business in rural Saskatchewan. Kevin published the World-Spectator, Saskatchewan’s oldest weekly newspaper, published weekly since 1884, Ag News, and Plain and Valley.
Over the years he volunteered with many organizations in his community, and was the longtime president of the Moosomin Chamber of Commerce. He served on and on his local housing authority board for many years, chairing the board for the last few years.
He was a founding member of the Community Builders Alliance, which brings businesses together to help new businesses get established and to help retiring business owners transition their businesses to new local owners.
He worked hard to help build his community, and Moosomin became known as a progressive community thanks to many initiatives by the Chamber of Commerce, the Community Builders Alliance and Moosomin Economic Development to keep the community growing.
Kevin lives in Moosomin and travels across Moosomin-Montmartre frequently, where he sees tremendous potential in every community.
