Barret Kropf was first elected MLA for Dakota-Arm River in 2024. He is currently the Legislative Secretary for Education and serves on the cabinet committees for Human Services and Red Tape Reduction.
Born and raised in Estevan, Barret worked in the sports industry for over 30 years in both management and coaching roles across hockey, cycling, and football on a global stage. His leadership has been recognized through several Coach of the Year accolades, and he led a number of championship winning teams. He has also served on local community recreation boards, strata councils, and as president of the Saskatchewan Cycling Association, while also owning and operating several businesses in the province.
Barret obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership with distinction and counts himself as a lifelong learner while continuing to pursue education in the artificial intelligence stream.
He and his wife Bridget enjoy spending time with their three sons, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and grandson.
